Manitoba Museum

  • Empty white metal shelving unit with four shelves in a room with white and blue walls and a wood floor.

    Objectives

As visitor numbers continued to grow, the Manitoba Museum sought to improve the concourse experience with a modern, secure locker solution. The project focused on two priorities:

Visitor Convenience & Security: Provide safe, reliable storage for personal belongings.

Smart Access & Revenue: Implement a centrally managed, RFID-enabled system capable of generating rental income.

The solution needed to integrate seamlessly into a public space while supporting high daily traffic and scalable management.

  • A long row of white lockers in an indoor setting, with a red bench at each end and a gray carpeted floor.

    Solutions

Space Concepts delivered a durable, technology-driven locker system designed for public environments.

    Key elements included:

High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) Lockers: Built for durability and low maintenance in high-traffic areas.

OTS Advanced RFID Network Locks: Secure, keyless, touch-free access.

Miro OTS Advanced Software: Centralized monitoring, access control, reporting, and rental management.

Revenue Capability: Integrated system supports paid rentals, creating a recurring income stream.

The result is a secure, intuitive locker solution that enhances visitor convenience while providing full operational control.
