JLL, acting as architect for George Brown College, engaged our team to support the planning and delivery of locker solutions for the new Faculty Office at the Centre for Health Sciences. The space was designed to support a hybrid, collaborative work environment, incorporating both open and enclosed work areas for faculty and staff.

The project required a combination of shared-use lockers for daily staff and faculty, two-door storage cabinets with integrated file storage assigned to specific user groups, and additional lockers to accommodate visiting faculty and staff from other campuses. Several of the locker units were also required to integrate into custom millwork being provided by a separate contractor, alongside open shelving elements.

We collaborated closely with the project architect and met directly with end users to clearly understand operational and security requirements. A key priority identified was the ability for staff to access lockers using their existing building security cards, ensuring a consistent and convenient user experience.

Working in partnership with Ojmar, we selected and specified a card-access locking solution fully compatible with the existing credential technology in use at the facility.

Lockers were supplied directly to the on-site millworker, allowing them to be seamlessly integrated into the custom millwork installation.

The project was delivered successfully and met both the functional and user experience objectives established at the outset.

Feedback from the client and end users has been very positive, with particular appreciation for the ease of use, security, and flexibility of the shared locker system.
